Noorse roofslakken, Den Helder en overleden bonsaibomen. Het zijn de inspiratiebronnen voor de filmische indie-jazz van Startas Orkester. Om de onderwerpen eer aan te doen, leent de band uit alternatieve rock, minimal music, vrije improvisatie en Scandinavische jazz. De achtkoppige bezetting bestaat uit drums, piano, contrabas, viool, cello, zang en twee gitaren.
